This was the ninth and final race in the Guernsey Rowing Club Championship Series. Unfortunately, my recent time away from The Rock had meant I had missed some crucial races, putting me out of contention for the Championship Series victory.
All started well enough in this race. However, Joe Paul made a strong challenge for the lead behind Jethou to which I had no response being more conditioned for windsurfing rather than rowing after recent events. After this, I made a tactical error that did not help me with the tides, so allowing Joe Paul to pull further ahead and take the line honours.
I had a small GPS on board, you can see the track of the route I took here.
