Summer storms continued to provide difficulties for the scheduled races within the Guernsey Rowing Club calendar.
This race would normally be preceded by one which gets the boats from the east to the west coast of Guernsey. Instead, some opted to take boats by road or managed to find a gap in the weather to row the boats around as part of a training session. I managed to do the latter in the Glow boat.
We were greeted by superb weather for the event itself, providing the fourth race within the Handicap Series.
I enjoyed a superb row having tried out a new seat from Carl Douglas that made a real difference to the comfort of my rowing.
I had a small GPS on board, you can see the track of the route I took here.
Neil Brennan was on the shore and took a few pictures of me in the race.
