No time on the water today for me; light winds and there was a powerboat race taking place where I would have launched the rowing boat from. Instead, I enjoyed a swift stroll to the top of the hill in the sunshine and watched a bit of the racing, requirement to be outdoors satisfied.
With six weeks to go until the Guernsey Rowing Club season begins, a social trip over to the neighbouring island of Herm was arranged. We couldn’t have asked for better spring conditions.
Enjoyed the refreshing conditions and scenery as Guernsey was hit by some strong conditions at the start of the year.
Decided to make the most of the sunshine and took a stroll along the nearby cliff paths down to the beach.
Took a wander through the nearby town of Malcesine and grabbed dinner there. The first experience of real Italian pizza and ice cream of the year, superb!

I enjoyed an active week working with the guys at the Guernsey Sailing Trust gaining the RYA Windsurfing Instructor Certificate and renewing my RYA Dinghy Instructor Certificate.
