After taking the slow boat back over to Guernsey, pleased to see that some of the summer still remained and I was greeted on my return to blue skies and sunshine.
Making the most of my extra day in Greece after the competition had ended, the trusty travel guide came out again to lend some suggestions of where to explore. I headed south and was greeted by some superb views over the Greek coastline. My destination was Cape Sounion to visit the ancient Greek temple of […]
Making the most of the fine weather, I took a trip out to Verdens Ende to explore the large smooth stones on the coastline. I also learned something new whilst rock hopping, this is a vippefyr.

Whilst on Öland, I spent some time exloring Borgholm Castle and the surrounding grounds. Don’t think this is the main entrance… In the museum, there was a model of the castle as it once would have looked before being destroyed by fire in 1806.
After a great weekend of wave sailing at Haverdal, the forecast did not look so good for the next few days out on the water. Out came the trusty travel guide and I took a tour around Göteborg instead, having only sped through the city a few days previously. I thought the Paddan boats provided […]
